
Physical preparation is an important part of preparing for Pioneer Trek. The pioneers planned and prepared for their journey. Likewise, all participants should prepare physically before the event.
To physically prepare for the trek, do some of the exercises shown. Below are some general guidelines:
CONDITIONING YOUR FEET FOR THE TREK:

Don't buys shoes right before trek, you will want to break them in first. Wearing the wrong shoes on the trek will rub you wrong and that means foot pain and blisters. Remember, your toes need room to expand, because your feet will swell as you walk on the trek. So be sure to bring only comfortable trekking shoes. Running shoes are great for trek, they are specifically designed for cushioning, motion control, and support.
Wear the shoes you plan to trek in as you walk and hike in preparation for trek.

- Walk 4-5 times per week
- For 2-3 times per week, walk 2-3 miles, and 2 times a week, walk 4-5 miles
- About 4 times before the actual Trek, walk longer periods of time up hill.
